In the Purchase page, you will be requested to give all necessary details about the primmary passenger (this is considered the owner or person responsible for the booking) and its contacts, details for all other passengers travelling, ticket delivery details and payment details.
 
You will reach this page after reviewing your dates, flights and fares and clicking the “Continue” button.
 
Simply follow the red numbers to find out more about each item and option in this page.
All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
 
Primary Passenger details
The Primary Passenger is the owner of the booking, the person considered responsible for the
reservation. This is the person TAP will contact in case of need.
For this passenger, we will require personnal data and contacts data.
  1. Title - options are Mr., Mrs., Ms and Miss
  2. First name of the primary passenger
  3. Last name of the primary passenger, as in identification documents
  4. Frequent Flyer number, option only for registered members of TAP’s frequent flyer programme
If you logged in as a Frequent Flyer, you will see the field already filled in with your number.
  5. Date of Birth - this information will be requested if you are a Senior or Youth passenger. It is
also mandatory for the airline to request this information if you are travelling from/to the United
States of America.
  6- 7. Passport Number and Nationality - It is mandatory for the airline to request this information if
you are travelling from/to the United States of America.
 
Contact details for Primary Passenger
In this area, the phone and email contacts for the Primary Passenger should be given.
It is very important that this information is accurate, as it will be used in case TAP needs to contact you.
 
1. Phone contacts - select country where your contact is
2. Country code for your phone number will be automatically
filled according to the country you have selected.
3. At least one of this three phone numbers (Home, Office or
Mobile) must be filled.
If you logged in as a Frequent Flyer, you may see one or more of these fields already filled in.
4. Email address - used to send your booking confirmation
If you logged in as a Frequent Flyer, you may see this field already filled in.
   
NOTE: If you logged in as a Frequent Flyer, please verify that
all pre-filled information (Name, Phone contacts, Email) is
correct. If not, please correct it in this box. You should also enter our Victoria site to correct you profile data.
 
Other passengers information
Necessary information for Adult passengers:
  1. Title - options are Mr., Mrs., Ms and Miss
  2. First name of the passenger
  3. Last name of the passenger, as in identification documents
  4. Frequent Flyer number, optional, only for registered members of TAP’s frequent flyer programme
 
Necessary information for Children and Infants:
  1. Gender - male or female (not required for Infants)
  2. First name
  3. Last name, as in identification documents
  4. Frequent Flyer number, optional, only for registered members of TAP’s frequent flyer programme
  5. Date of birth
 
Necessary information for Senior and Youth passengers:
  1. Title - options are Mr., Mrs., Ms. and Miss
  2. First name
  3. Last name, as in identification documents
  4. Frequent Flyer number, optional, only for registered members of TAP’s frequent flyer programme
  5. Date of birth
 
Necessary information for Residents (passengers who are residents in the Portuguese Islands,
travelling with resident fares):
  1. Title - options are Mr., Mrs., Ms. and Miss
  2. First name of the primary passenger
  3. Last name of the primary passenger, as in identification documents
  4. Frequent Flyer number, option only for registered members of TAP’s frequent flyer programme
  5. VAT Number
  6. ID Number - number of passenger’s Identity Card
 
For all passengers (Adults, Children, Infants, Seniors and Youths) travelling from/to the
United States of America, Date of Birth, Passport Number and Nationality are required, for Passport data.
 
Ticket Delivery
 
According to your route and time for departure, there will be one ticket delivery method available.
 
E-Ticket: for all routes for which e-tickets can be issued, e-ticket is mandatory.
Ticket By Mail: for all routes for which e-tickets cannot be issued, and if you are booking in advanced the number of days required in your country, your tickets will be sent by mail to the adsress you provide in this page.
Pick-up: for all routes for which e-tickets cannot be issued, and if you are not booking with the
advanced required for Ticket By Mail or Ticket By Mail is not available, you will have to pick-up your tickets at a TAP Office or a General Sales Agent. Please note that you will have to pick up your tickets until 72 hours after finishing your online reservation. If not, your reservation will automatically be canceled.
 
Payment Options
Credit Card: For all markets and routes with E-Ticket or Ticket By Mail available, payment with the following credit cards is available: Visa, Master Card and American Express.
  1. Total price for your booking, including all tickets, taxes, fees and surcharges.
  2. Enter the name of the holder of the payment card as it appears on the card
  3. Select the type of card you are purchasing with. Options are Visa, Master Card and American
Express.
  4. Enter payment card number.
  5. Select payment card expiry month and year.
  6. Enter Security Code (when applicable to your card type).
  7. In case of an American Express card, enter date of birth of payment card’s holder. This is required for security reasons.
  1. If your tickets are being delivered by mail, you can select this box to use the delivery address
as your billing address. Billing address boxes will be automatically filled with the same address you have provided for ticket delivery. If not, then fill in the fields for Street, Zip/Postal Code if
applicable, City, State/Province if applicable and Country. This is the address your billing will
will be sent to.
 
ATM: payment through an ATM machine. Only for portuguese cards Visa, Visa Electron, Master Card and Maestro, in Portugal. When selecting this option and after clicking the "Continue" button, the following references will be displayed to you in the Confirmation page (the amounts and references are examples):
 
This data is to be entered when making your
payment in the ATM machine, selecting the option "Pagamento de Compras"
1. Reference for TAP Portugal.
2. Reference for the payment.
3. Total amount to be payed.
These references will also be sent to the email address you have previously provided.
 
Confirming your booking
  1. After verifying all passenger, contacts, delivery and payment information, simply click the
“Continue” button to confirm your booking. This will finalize your purchase and your reservation.
  2. If you are not pleased with the trip you have selected, click the “back” button to return to the
Review page, where you will be able to review your selection.
     
 
NOTE: At this point, your booking has not yet been finished. Only after clicking the “Continue”
button, you will be fully confirming your trip and your booking will be finalized. If your booking is successful, you will be taken to the Confirmation page, where you will be displayed a summary of your reservation, ticket delivery and payment type.
